1. Creating Your Account
Visit jobsloop.ai and click "Get Started" or "Sign Up". You can create an account using:
- Email and password: Enter your email address and create a secure password
- Google OAuth: Sign in with your Google account for quick access

Check your inbox for a verification email from JobsLoop. Click the verification link to activate your account.

Add basic information about your job search goals, target industry, and experience level. This helps our AI provide more personalized recommendations.

2. Uploading Your Resume
After signing in, you'll see your main dashboard. Click "Upload Resume" or drag and drop your file directly onto the upload area.

JobsLoop supports these formats:
- PDF (recommended for best formatting)
- DOCX (Microsoft Word)
- TXT (plain text)
Maximum file size: 10MB

For targeted optimization, paste the job description you're applying to. This allows our AI to tailor your resume to match specific requirements.

Click "Analyze Resume" and wait 10-30 seconds while our AI processes your document.

3. Understanding Your ATS Score
Once analysis is complete, you'll receive an ATS (Applicant Tracking System) compatibility score from 0-100.

What the score means:
- 85-100: Excellent - Your resume is highly optimized for ATS systems
- 70-84: Good - Minor improvements recommended
- 50-69: Fair - Several areas need attention
- Below 50: Needs work - Significant optimization required
Score factors:
- Keyword matching: How well your resume matches job description keywords
- Formatting: Whether your resume uses ATS-friendly formatting
- Structure: Presence of key sections (contact, experience, education, skills)
- Content quality: Use of action verbs, quantified achievements, and clarity
- Length and density: Appropriate amount of relevant content

4. Making Improvements
JobsLoop provides actionable recommendations to improve your resume:
Review suggestions
Our AI highlights specific issues:
- Missing keywords: Important terms from the job description that should be added
- Weak action verbs: Generic words that should be replaced with stronger alternatives
- Formatting issues: Headers, fonts, or layouts that ATS systems struggle to parse
- Content gaps: Missing sections or insufficient detail in key areas

Apply AI recommendations
Click "Apply All Suggestions" to automatically implement recommended changes, or review each suggestion individually and apply selectively.

Use the built-in editor to make custom changes. The AI provides real-time feedback as you type.

Re-analyze and compare
After making changes, click "Re-analyze" to see your new score. Compare before/after versions to track improvement.

5. Downloading Your Optimized Resume
Once you're satisfied with your improvements, download your optimized resume:
Select your preferred download format:
- PDF: Industry standard, preserves formatting perfectly
- DOCX: Editable in Microsoft Word for further customization
- TXT: Plain text for online application forms

Preview your resume one last time to ensure all changes look correct. Check for:
- Proper formatting and alignment
- No spelling or grammar errors
- Contact information accuracy
- Appropriate length (1-2 pages for most professionals)
Click "Download" to save your optimized resume to your device. We recommend saving it with a clear filename like "FirstName_LastName_Resume_2026.pdf".
